1999.10.13 Wien

Vienna is a wedding cake! What a beautiful city! We got out of the hotel early in the morning. First thing we bought tickets for the opera that night. We then bought a city tour in one of those hop-on hop-off deals that you can get down at any site and take another tour bus later. Through the tour we of course saw all of Vienna, old and new. We got down on the Shonbrun Shloss and visited that.

¡Viena es un pastel de bodas! ¡Que bella ciudad! Salimos del hotel temprano en la mañana. Primero fuimos a comprar boletos para la opera esa noche. Compramos luego un tour por la ciudad de esos en los que uno se puede subir y bajar en varias paradas para luego continuar el tour. A través del tour vimos todo Viena, viejo y nuevo. Nos bajamos y visitamos el Shonbrun Shloss.

Vieno estas edsiĝkuko! Kia belega urbego! Ni eliris la hotelo frue matene. Unue ni iris por aĉeti biletojn por la opera tiu nokto. Ni tiam aĉetis urbegan rondvoĝaĵon tia, kia oni povas superiri kaj subiri el la aŭtobuso por poste superiri denove. Kun tiu rondvoĝaĵo ni vidis ĉion en Vieno, nova kaj malnova. Ni subiris kaj vizitis la Shonbrun Shloss-n.

After a lunch of winer shnitzl mit pom frit (sp?) we then visited a small Dali museum and the International Esperanto Museum, where Roberto had a lively conversation and Lorena just stood there. We closed down the night by going to the Opera, we saw Richard Strauss' "Der Rosenkavalier". Which we didn't understand AT ALL until halfway through, when we bought the program. Worthy experience, but I don't know if I like the opera very much. Después de comer una milanesa con papas visitamos un pequeño museo de Dalí y el Museo Internacional de Esperanto, donde Roberto tuvo una viva conversación y Lorena se aguanto. Cerramos la noche llendo a la Opera, vimos "Der Rosenkavalier", de Richard Strauss. No entendimos NI JOTA hasta la mitad, cuando compramos el programa. Una experiencia valiosa, pero no estoy seguro de que me guste la Opera. Post nia manĝado de pankovrita bovidaĵo kun frititaj terpomoj ni vizitis eta museon de DALI kaj la Internacian Esperantan Museon, tie Roberto havis spritan konverzacion kaj Lorena ĵus staris. Lo nokton ni malfermis irinta al la opero. Ni vidis "Der Rosenkavalier"-n, verkita de Richard STRAUSS. Ni komprenis nenion, ĝis la mezo, kiam ni aĉetis la programon. Bona sperto, sed mi ne estas certe se la Opero ŝatas al mi.
