1999.10.22 Madrid • Sevilla

For the next few days our plans are to sleep in Madrid and travel around Spain in the day. That day we took the fastest train in Europe, the "Ave", which runs at about 300 km/hr to Sevilla.

Los próximos días nuestro plan fue el dormir en Madrid y visitar España por el día. Ese día tomamos el tren más rápido de Europa, el Ave, que va como a unos 300 km/hr a Sevilla.

Por la sekvantaj tagoj nia planoj estis dormi en Madrido kaj tagveturi tra Hispanio. Tiu tago ni prenis la ple rapida trajno en Europo, "Ave" kiu kuras po 300 km/horoj al Sevijo.

Sevilla is a beautiful souther spanish town, interesting for its strong moore (arab) influence. We bought another of those tours (hop-on, hop-off) and that way we saw the majority of the sights. Afterwards we went to the Alcazar, a very beautiful arab palace with amazing gardens. Then we went to the cathedral and ate the famous spanish tapas (tapas, which in spanish mean covers, are small foods which one often eats at bars. Sevilla es una bellísima ciudad sud-española, muy interesante por su influencia mora (árabe.) Compramos un tour (de sube y baja) y así conocimos la mayoría. Después fuimos al Alcázar, bellísimo palacio con bellísimos jardines. Luego fuimos a la catedral y comimos unas de las famosas tapas españolas (las tapas son pequeños bocadillos los cuales uno normalmente come en los bares.) Sevijo estas tre bela sudhispana urbo, tre interese por ĝia maŭra (araba) influo. Ni aĉetis tuoron tra la urbo (superiri kaj malsuperiri) kaj tiel ni vizitis la plej parton. Poste ni iris al la Alcazar, belega araba palaco kun tre belaj gardenoj. Poste ni iris katedralen kaj tagmezmanĝis la famajn hispanan tapa-ojn (tapa, kiu en la hispana signifas kuvrilon, estas malgrandaj manĝaĵoj kiu oni povas manĝi en la trinkejoj)

We were trying to get to the modern art museum, but on the way over we found the bullfighting ring and since Lorena is a fan we of course bought tickets and entered. The fight was quite good, but in the middle it started pouring rain, still, we enjoyed it.

Tratamos de llegar al museo de arte moderno, pero estaba la corrida de toros en medio y pues Lorena, siendo aficionada, compramos boletos y nos metimos. La corrida estuvo muy buena, pero a la mitad cayo una tormenta, sin embargo la disfrutamos.

Ni provis iri al la moderna artmuseo, sed en nia veturo ni trovis la taŭrluktejon, kaj ĉar Lorena admiras la taŭrluktojn ni kompreneble aĉetis biletojn kaj eniris. La lukto estis tre bona, sed meze ĝi pluvegis, tamen ni tre ĝuis ĝin.

We left the bullfight early, to take a taxi back to the train station and the train back to Madrid. About then in our trip we started our shopping, we shopped in Madrid, dined and went to sleep.

Tuvimos que dejar la corrida temprano, para tomar un taxi de regreso a la estación de tren y el tren de regreso a Madrid. En aquel momento de nuestro viaje comenzábamos nuestras compras, compramos a través de Madrid, cenamos y nos fuimos a dormir.

Ni eliris la taŭrlukton frue, por preni taksion al la stacidomo por nia revena trajno al Madrido. Tiam en niaj veturo ni ja komencis nian butikumadon, ni butikumis en Madrid, vespermanĝis kaj enlitiĝis.
