1999.10.26 Bilbao • Hendaya • Bordeux

We went to the museum in the morning, there was a good exhibit featuring Andy Warhol (very good if you like that sort of thing). But we were blown away by their permanent collection, particularly because Lorena's favorite painting by one of her favorite artists is there (Mark Rothko), it was a joy to see her face when we discovered the protagonist of her computer wallpaper right there! Caminamos al museo en la mañana, había una buena exhibición de Andy Warhol (muy buena si es que te gusta Warhol.) Pero quedamos impresionados por la colección permanente, particularmente porque la pintura favorita de uno de los artistas favoritos de Lorena se encuentra allí (Mark Rothko), ¡fue un placer ver su cara cuando nos encontramos con el protagonista del "background" de su computadora! Ni piediris museen matene, estis bona mostra de Andy WARHOL (tre bona se tio ŝatas vin) sed ni estis impresita por ilia daŭra kolekto, speciale ĉar la plej ŝatata pentraĵo de unu de la ple ŝatata artisto de Lorena estas tie (Marko ROTHKO), estis plezuro vidi la faco de Lorena kiam ni trovis la ĉefrorulon de ŝia komputila tapeto tie!

Our problem now was that our exit plan from Bilbao was a little tricky. In order to get to Bordeux and eventually back to Paris we had to get to Hendaya France, and there are no trains from Bilbao to Hendaya! We took then a bus to Hendaya, the bus took us through San Sebastian, a nice seaside resort. Once in Hendaya we had a quick lunch and a small walk (hey we were carrying our backpacks!) and took the TGV to Bordeux.

Nuestro problema ahora era que el plan de salida de Bilbao era un poco truculento. Para poder llegar a Bordeoux y eventualmente de regreso a Paris teníamos que ir a Hendaya Francia, ¡y no hay trenes de Bilbao a Hendaya! Tomamos pues un camión a Hendaya, que nos llevo por San Sebastián, un bello puerto. Una vez en Hendaya comimos rápidamente y caminamos un poquito (pues teníamos las mochilotas) y tomamos el TGV a Bordeux.

Nun nia problemo estis la elirejo de Bilbao kiu estis iomete tikla. Por nia alvenado a Bordeux, kaj eventuale de reveno al Paris ni devis iri al Hendaya, Francio, kaj ne eksistas trajnojn de Bilbao al Hendaya! Ni prenis aŭtobuson al Hendaya, kiu veturis nin tra San Sebastiano, bela haveno. Kiam ni estis en Hendaya, ni manĝis rapide kaj piediris iomete (ĉar ni portis la dorspakojn) kaj ni tie prenis la TGV-trajnon al Bordeux.

By the time we got to Bordeux it was early evening, but fortunately a magazine we picked on the train had some hotel and tourist information, and as soon as we got to Bordeux we reserved a hotel closer to downtown, took a bus there. We then went out for a most outstanding French dinner at "Le Mably Bistrot de Tradition"

Para cuando llegamos a Bordeux era temprano en la tarde, pero afortunadamente una revista que recogimos en el tren tenia información turística y tan pronto como llegamos a Bordeux reservamos un hotel cerca del centro, y tomamos un camión para allí. Luego salimos por una excelentísima cena francesa en "Le Mably Bistrot de Tradition".

Kiam ni alvenis al Bordeux estis vespero, sed bonŝance magazino kiu ni trovis trajnen havis turisinformadoj kaj kiam ni alvenis al Bordeux ni riservis hotelon proksimume al la mezurbo kaj ni prenis aŭtobuson tie. Poste ni ekiris por elstara franca manĝaĵo en "Le Mably Bistrot de Tradition".
